Uncle Billy's the Kona cheap hotel is located right across from the water in one of the better areas of the Big Island of Hawaii for tourists, being he strip south of Kona downtown.  This Kona accomodation has lots of guest rooms which are fairly basic. The atmosphere at Uncle Billys shows off the Aloha spirit well with a caring and attentive staff.  Sitting at their restaurant enjoying a meal is one of the best features of this budget Kona hotel with great views of the Kialua Kona bay located south of the main town. this area of Kona has the majority of the better restaurants and shopping.

Uncle Billy's hotels has been here for ever and they also have another location over in Hilo on the rainy side of Hawaii. that accomodations is pretty much the same as the one in Kona if you are going to go to Hilo it is worth checking that one out as well.

One of the big reasons to come to Kona is this is one of the best places for the Scuba Diving in Hawaii with lots of dive shops including Jack's diving locker.  Snorkeling is also a major activity here with lots of fish to see right in the bay.
